Ron is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with more than 25 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families. He holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and has spent most of his career working internationally with diverse communities and clients from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. Ron’s primary therapeutic approach is Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT). He also integrates Psychodynamic Therapy, Family Systems Theory, Mindfulness, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) when appropriate to meet each client’s unique needs. He has completed certificate-level training in EMDR as well as advanced training in EFT for Couples. He is continually learning and taking courses on Relational Life Therapy (couples work) and the Comprehensive Resource Model (Trauma work). Throughout his career, Ron has worked with adults, adolescents, couples, and families experiencing a broad range of emotional, relational, and life challenges. His case conceptualization is grounded in attachment theory, psychodynamic/object relations theory, and family systems theory, providing a comprehensive framework for understanding how early experiences, relationships, and life circumstances shape current patterns of thinking, feeling, and relating. This integrative perspective allows him to tailor therapy to each client’s goals while fostering meaningful and lasting change.

I support men and couples who are ready to show up more fully in their relationships—with others, and with themselves. Many of my clients are navigating emotional disconnection, identity shifts, or the quiet sense that something needs to change—but aren’t sure where to start.

With a background in the trades, I often work with men who’ve spent years in performance-based roles—whether in construction, athletics, or business—and are now learning to turn inward, speak honestly, and build stronger emotional connection.

Alongside my private practice, I provide clinical supervision to other relational psychotherapists. I bring over a decade of experience, grounded presence, and a deep respect for the complexity of being human.

My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and integrative. I’m trained through the Toronto Institute for Relational Psychotherapy (TIRP), with additional training in TIST (Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment), the Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, and Satir family therapy.
